Learn to Learn

We foster the development of lifelong learning habits, cultivating curiosity to explore new topics and pose deep questions, perseverance to overcome obstacles in autonomous learning, rigor to analyze issues and facts clearly, and ingenuity to find resources, mentors, and peers that facilitate effective learning.

Learn to Do

Our practical projects in science, entrepreneurship, and the arts are fundamental tools that prepare girls and boys to face real-life challenges that are meaningful to them. These challenges include, for example: diagnosing a patient in the field of biological medicine; writing and delivering a speech from the perspective of Winston Churchill; and designing blueprints for a new campus in the field of architecture. Through these hands-on experiences, our students develop critical, creative, and problem-solving skills that will be invaluable to them in their future.

Learn to Be

Building character is fundamental in our educational approach, fostering compassion, empathy, and a resilient attitude to overcome challenges as students explore their calling and discover a purpose that enables them to positively impact the world. Additionally, we recognize and encourage leadership in service to the community, promoting participation in Socratic discussions to enhance analytical thinking and oral expression. Our agreements and commitments, along with natural consequences, transform difficult decisions into virtuous habits, thus strengthening the integrity and character of our students.

Measuring Mastery

Young heroes celebrate the mastery of tools, skills, and character by earning badges and taking part in public exhibitions.

  • 1

Learners use badges to track academic progress in Core Skills like reading, writing, math, spelling, and character development in Servant Leader Badges.

  • 2

Young heroes deliver public exhibitions of their work at the end of each four to six week sprint.

  • 3

Self-management and self-governance skills are measured by peer reviews at the end of each session.
